LA's concrete problem

The Los Angeles Times released a report last month exposing the dangers of over 1,000 concrete structures in the City of Los Angeles that are at risk of collapse in the event of a major earthquake. According to the report, the city has known about the vulnerability of these buildings for over 40 years, but have failed to enforce action on the part of property owners to make these structures safer. I spoke with Doug Smith of the L.A. Times about the team's finding's throughout the investigation and what this all could mean for the city.
