They say kids won't eat their vegetables. That's the challenge facing the Los Angeles Unified School District. The second-largest school district in the country, LAUSD, serves more than 500,000 meals a day. LAUSD held a "Harvest Fest" event in Downtown LA on Thursday. The event was a small-scale farmers market for LAUSD employees and local students. The event was also meant to highlight LAUSD's goal of promoting healthy eating.
