GOP Leaders Say Yes To Gay Marriage

Prominent conservative leaders sent a message to the Supreme Court by legally filing a recommendation in support of gay marriage. Those who came out in support of the proposal included George and Laura Bush, as well as one-time candidate for Governor of California, Meg Whitman.

Scott Barclay, Senior Scholar of Public Policy at the UCLA School of Law's Williams Institute, spoke to ARN about the implications of this recommendation. While it doesn’t wield much direct political significance, he said the filing of this notice may mark a complete paradigmatic shift in the way “culture wars” are framed in the United States.
