Cash rules everything around Capitol Hill. Politicians are besieged non-stop by lobbyists, interest groups and private donors, and they're loathe to pass up any opportunity for snagging funds.
Dan Schnur is looking to change that with legislation that makes it illegal for state government officials to accept campaign contributions while serving as office-holders in session.
He spoke to ARN to discuss his motivation for pushing finance reform and the argument he hears from detractors of his plan.
