The United Way released a study today that detailed the improvements in homeless people's lives when they are offered permanent housing. Dominic Riley has a story about this study and what housing does for the homeless. Also, a new state bill was unveiled today in Los Angeles. Its aim is to prevent foreclosures by mediating between borrowers and their banks, and Ariel Edwards-Levey has the story. Among the many bills signed by the governor this week, there were three that protected gay rights. Leilani Albano talked with organizers about the new bills.
