The city council tried to take up medical marijuana clinics today, but they didn't get very far. The issues remain: can you sell marijuana over-the-counter? How many clinics will there be in LA? How will they be regulated? Will they be taxed by the city? Leilani Albano reports from city hall on what seems like a never-ending struggle for access to legal, medical marijuana in Los Angeles. They're giving away turkeys all over Los Angeles today, reporter Richie Duchon was at one giveaway to talk with some of the hundreds of people that came out for free turkeys. And Labor Secretary Hilda Solis came to town to tour a couple of LA's job training facilities. Ariel Edwards-Levy was along for the ride.
