Hello, my name is James Santelli and I am the Sports Director for Los Angeles-based Neon Tommy, the most trafficked online-only publication in America. My work has appeared in such outlets as Pittsburgh Sports Report, Pittsburgh Magazine, Clippers.com, The NewsHouse and NBCOlympics.com.
I am in my junior year at the University of Southern California, majoring in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and minoring in Sports Media Studies at the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. My goal is to work in sports broadcasting after college.
I won an L.A. Press Club award for Sports Photography by snapping this photo of Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict.
Last summer, I worked as an intern for NBCOlympics.com, operating from the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, England.
I was a public address announcer for three years at Fox Chapel Area High School in Pittsburgh, Pa., calling mostly volleyball, field hockey, lacrosse and basketball.
At USC, I have worked as a sports anchor and graphics artist for Annenberg TV News. I also broadcast play-by-play for Trojans baseball, football and basketball, along with hosting a weekly show for on-campus KXSC Radio.
