Jillian Baker

Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Jillian is a sophomore double majoring in Communications and African American Studies.   Jillian aspires to be a cultural critic, journalist and media mogul. She is passionate about entertainment and media and hopes to use these industries to positively impact future generations.  Her goal is to use her positive energy, resilience, and academic and personal background to create opportunities for minorities in media and to create a foundation that gives scholarships to motivated and underrepresented youth that seek to obtain a higher education.

In addition to ARN, Jillian is a producer for TrojanVision's premier entertainment show, The SCoop, an entertainment writer for NeonTommy, and a lifestyle writer for the Daily Trojan.  She is also Vice President of Saved By Grace Gospel Choir and Secretary of the Annenberg Black Student Association.

In her free time she enjoys watching movies, spending time with friends, eating, listening to music and randomly breaking out into song.  One day she hopes to get married to Hollywood heartthrob, Michael B. Jordan (a girl can dream).

Oh, and she would like to thank Issa Rae for shouting out Awkward Black Girls around the world!
