Andrea Martinez
Andrea Martinez is an undergraduate at the University of Southern California majoring in broadcast and digital journalism.
Andrea lives for a good story. From writing to editing, she is involved in every aspect of good story telling. As a freelancer, she has produced, written, reported, and edited several packages on various topics in the Los Angeles and Miami metropolitan areas.
She is currently the host of USC’s student-produced health and wellness show, Balance TV Show, where she is involved in show content, weekly production meetings, reporting, and research.
Originally from South Florida, Andrea has gained off campus experience through her internships with NBCUniveral’s Telemundo 51 in Miami and CBS Interactive Radio in Orlando.
As a staff writer for Neon Tommy, USC’s online digital news source, she produces content for the entertainment and health and wellness sections.
Aside from her internship experience, she has gained knowledge in the newsroom through her work with Annenberg TV News, for which she has worked as assignment desk editor, multi-media journalist, and web producer.
Furthermore, her journalism courses at Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism have given her experience in reporting and writing in print, broadcast, and digital mediums.
