Taking on Secret Laws Internet advocate John Gilmore's life took a dramatic turn in 2002, after he was denied entry to a flight leaving Oakland Airport for Baltimore. Though Gilmore had a boarding pass, he was stopped for not carrying identification. In searchof an explanation as to why the government keeps ID laws secret, he recently filed a case with the U.S. Supreme Court. Andy Sternberg met up with him on the road.
