The Full Rights for Immigrants Coalition protested the remarks made by Santa Clarita Councilman Bob Keller at an anti-immigration rally. Coalition members want Kelly to resign, and are calling on LA Supervisor Mike Antonovich to respond after he claimed illegal immigrants are costing the economy money.

Los Angeles is facing a $208 million budget deficit. The city is outlining a plan to lay off as many as 1500 employees. Councilman Bernard Parks said the plan could include laying off firefighters and police officers.
